Market Matters Inc. Programs
Market Matters, Inc. currently has two major program areas: workshop training through the Making Markets Matter Workshop series and network building through the Seeds of Development Program (SODP).
Making Markets Matter workshops
The Making Markets Matter workshop series provides an opportunity for African small and medium-size businesses (SMEs) and organizations supporting SME’s to learn about contemporary business principles, processes, and tools that are essential to formulating successful marketing strategies. The workshops feature an outstanding group of facilitators with diverse professional backgrounds. The workshops are highly interactive and encourage participants to think creatively, apply their newly-acquired knowledge, and learn from facilitators as well as from each other. Seeds of Development Program (SODP)
The Seeds of Development Program is a network of approximately 25 African-owned and operated small and medium-size seed companies. The companies are located in East and Southern Africa, and participate in regular business development and networking activities, such as workshop training, a seed trading forum, and visits to seed companies in other emerging markets in Africa, Asia, and beyond. In addition to this wide range of activities, participating companies (known as Fellows) benefit from an exchange of information about the seed industry in their respective countries and business opportunities with Fellow and other companies. Further, since its establishment in 2003, the network has generated a wealth of information for market analysis and other research initiatives.
